S.A.F.E. Place provides counseling that is supportive and educational.
Counseling services are offered to all survivors of domestic violence and sex trafficking and their dependent children. This includes shelter guests as well as those living elsewhere. Our program provides one-on-one and group counseling.
All of our counseling is provided by Master's level counselors and interns. Counselors utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches, including EMDR, TF-CBT, play therapy, and mindfulness techniques.
All counseling appointments are at our shelter, however, we are willing to work with you if you have specific needs.
- Please note that due to the current social distancing standards surrounding COVID-19, counseling is offered in-person, virtually, and over-the-phone. Please reach out to one of our counselors or an advocate for any questions or concerns you may have.
